Africa in Focus - comfortable and inspiring tours through Africa, with special attention given to photography. If you want to use your career break to develop your photography skills, or you just want a great photographic record of your African adventure, these expeditions are for you!

The tours

Africa in Focus offers overland camping tours from 14 to 55 days through Sub-Saharan Africa at competitive prices. The tours are more comfortable than average - you will travel in a custom-built 16-seater expedition vehicle which gives you over a meter of legroom, reclining seats, panoramic windows and roof hatches.

Africa in Focus provides innovative facilities for digital camera users and keen photographers. You can download the images on your memory card to an onboard computer, then burn them to CD/DVD, or transfer them to a hard drive. This keeps a safe backup of your pictures and frees up your memory card, and isn't available from any other overland company.

While on tour, you can also participate in workshops and talks conducted by the tour leader, and obtain hands-on feedback on your photographs. All this while you explore the culture, landscape and wildlife of this great continent.

Africa in Focus started operations in 2002 after its director decided that overlanding needed an alternative for those career breakers who did not want a ‘party tour’ and those interested in the photographic aspect of being on an overland tour.
