Ecoteer

Ecoteer provides a platform for volunteers to contact projects directly. This ensures up-to-date information and ensures all your money goes straight to the project where it is needed.

The placements

The majority of placements are at eco-lodges. Whatever your interests, you will find something for you at an eco-lodge, as long as you are passionate about helping other people and nature. For example, at an eco-lodge you could teach the local community, become a tour guide or even a linguist as you will be meeting many tourists from all over the world.

Ecoteer also offer conservation, humanitarian aid and teaching projects. The projects on Ecoteer are not funded by volunteers and can take only limited numbers of volunteers. The reduced number of volunteers means you can really get stuck into your placement. Some Ecoteer volunteers have stayed on to work for the project.

The length of placement varies for each programme but ranges from 2 weeks to 2 years.

Prices

Ecoteer membership costs £10. Each project is different but many placements offer free food and board in return for your volunteer work.
