Gap Year Diver

Gap Year Diver courses are tailored for career breakers. Although some destinations may not be suitable for you if you don't want to rough it and be with young gappers, there are scuba diving, language courses, community work and conservation initiatives in a number of countries that would be suitable for you.

The courses

You may want to consider becoming a dive professional during your career break. The way of life is addictive and there's a strong possibility you won't want to return home. Beautiful weather day in day out, warm waters, an informal atmosphere and chilled out people.

If you're stressed in work and you want to be a dive professional and start afresh then Gap Year Diver can help you. A comprehensive training programme in Dahab, Egypt will take you from complete beginner to the dizzy heights of scuba instructor in as little as 13 weeks! That's a lifetime qualification as a scuba instructor that you can use at any one of the 5,600 PADI dive centres worldwide!

Although the core product is diver tuition, there are also a range of activities and trips which make your career break more exciting. The ‘Dive and Explore’ programme takes you to some of the most renowned ancient monuments in the world and packs in more diving than you could possibly ask for. The trips to Venezuela and Costa Rica combine Spanish and scuba diving over extended periods, and there are also conservation and special interest trips (such as archaeological diving, videography trips, charity trips and photographic masterclasses).
