Global Volunteer Projects specialises in organising work experience projects for people interested in a career change, or for career breakers who simply want to do something different.
The programmes
Global Volunteer Projects organise projects for people hoping to gain experience in medicine or the subjects allied to medicine, such as physiotherapy and dentistry, and those hoping to become journalists.
These opportunities are an excellent chance to try out a career in medicine or media as well as add something unique to a CV or portfolio. If you’re interested in medicine you could find yourself helping paramedics in Mexico, observing surgery in India or helping treat malaria in Ghana. Budding journalists can work at a TV or radio station in Ghana or newspaper in India.
If you are just looking to help out in your career break, Global Volunteer Projects is also looking for people to help teach conversational English in schools, help care for children in orphanages and work on conservation projects. Currently they have opportunities to work with pandas in China and protect sea turtles in Mexico.
