International House(IH) provides TEFL training for people who want to teach English as a Foreign Language abroad.
The courses
IH London has a wide range of courses for people who want to teach English as a foreign language. These include:
- Courses for beginners
- Courses which result in an internationally-recognised TEFL or TESOL certificate, allowing you to teach all over the world
- Advanced courses, such as teaching business English, or a refresher course for returning teachers
- You can also choose from part-time, full-time and distance learning courses.
International House can also offer help and advice on related issues, such as career development loans (to help fund your course), and can arrange your accommodation if required.
Location
International House is on Piccadilly, right in the centre of London. So it's easy to get to and there's tons of stuff to do, right on your doorstep! If you don't live within commuting distance, IH can arrange accommodation for you if you wish.
How long?
This depends on the course you do, and whether it's full- or part-time. A full-time course will usually take a minimum of 4 weeks, whereas a part-time one could take around 12 weeks. Distance courses are more flexible, and can be taken over several months.
Start dates are available throughout the year.
Costs
A course which results in a certificate allowing you to teach will cost around £2,000. IH can offer advice on financing your course.
