Kaya Responsible Travel - a wide range of volunteer programmes throughout the world, on responsible and sustainable projects.

The programmes

Kaya Responsible Travel unique locations, work and live with the locals and discover the real world. With a choice of projects that really need your help, whether you have specific skills or just time and energy to provide, you can make a difference. Short and long term placements are available and volunteers are aged 18-80.

Kaya work hard to identify local projects that value volunteer efforts and are achieving positive results. You can chose from over 150 projects. Here are some examples:

Environmental conservation: reforestation, National Park preservation and initiatives for clean air, clean water and combatting pollution.
Animals and wildlife: lion rehabilitation in Africa, sea turtle protection in Costa Rica and equine therapy in Bolivia.
Health: research, education and treatment in areas most in need. Placements for all levels of experience.
Education: teaching English, vocational skills, literacy or small business skills to children and adults.
Community: building schools and shelters, cultural preservation, ecotourism and work with victims of AIDS, sex trafficking and abuse.
Children: work in orphanages, schools, daycare centres and street children projects, providing care, nutrition, education, support and hopes of a better future.
Sports: dance, football and basketball projects that provide safe play environments, steer children away from gangs and teach health and sanitation to vulnerable children.

How long?

Programs available from 2 weeks to 6 months and run throughout the year.

Prices

Prices start at £625 for 2 weeks. All projects include:

A contribution to the project
Your accommodation
Airport pick-ups and drop-offs
Pre-departure packs
On-site orientation
24-hour in-country support

Many also include all your meals, some language classes and transport each day to your project.
