Lead Adventures is an organisation that offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout Ecuador.
The programmes
Lead Adventures offers more than 25 different volunteer and participant programs in all four regions of Ecuador for independent travellers. These focus on:
- Medicine
- Sports (soccer, basketball, golf and tennis)
- Education
- Conservation
- Animal welfare
- Work with street children
- Teaching English (paid placements available)
Each program is a unique experience and offers a way to get to know the Ecuadorian culture, its people and its country.
Customised group expeditions are also available. Expeditions may include a learning element, such as working in an organic farm, building homes in the coastal area for families on low incomes or working in a Amazon or Galapagos Biological Station.
Location
Lead Adventures programmes are run throughout Ecuador. Some are dependent on the type of programme you choose; for example, street children work is based in the city and some conservation programmes are run in coastal areas.
How long?
A minimum of 2 weeks. The English Language and Cultural Exchange Program, Paid English Academies and Internships require a 4-week commitment.
Prices
Prices and services vary according to the type of placement that you choose. They start at $450 for the Teach and Travel programme, and rise to $930 for the giant tortoise programme.
Special offers
All programmes include insurance for up to 4 weeks in Ecuador. A 25% discount for online bookings also applies to most programmes.
