Outreach International

Outreach International offers volunteer placements in small, carefully-chosen projects where your skills match local needs.

The placements

On an Outreach International project, you can make a valuable contribution while living with local people. Volunteers are placed where they are genuinely needed and where skills and energies will be fully utilised.

Projects include:

  • Orphanages and street children (including working with victims of human trafficking)
  • Teaching English in coastal villages
  • Teaching sports, art and computer studies
  • Helping at medical centres
  • Physiotherapy
  • Centres for disabled children (including working with young landmine and polio victims)
  • Conservation and environmental work (including Amazon rainforest and giant sea turtles)
  • Humanitarian development work

Outreach International meets all potential volunteers to discuss the opportunities in detail. Every project is regularly visited and assessed by the Outreach International director. Volunteer groups are small and a language course is included, so you can really be part of the local community.

About Outreach International

Outreach International was established in 1998 and is a member of The Year Out Group. They are a small, specialist organisation where the director meets all applicants to discuss the proposed project so you can make an informed decision about whether it is right for you. Outreach sends approximately 100 volunteers overseas every year.

The director visits every project at least once a year and has a clear idea about the needs of each one.

Outreach International is a carbon neutral company which plants three oak trees for every volunteer that travels with them.
