Projects Abroad offer a diverse range of teaching, care, conservation, medical, journalism and work experience projects, plus the opportunity to become part of a local community overseas.
The placements
Volunteer projects include:

All the placement fees include all of your food, accommodation, fully comprehensive insurance and support from both overseas and UK staff.
New projects in 2008 include working with children affected by HIV/AIDS in Jamaica, teaching in Brazil and vulture-breeding in India.

How long?
Minimum 4 weeks. Many people stay for 3 or 4 months or more. The dates are entirely up to you as the programmes run all year round there are no set start or finish dates.
Projects Abroad
Projects Abroad is one of the oldest and most respected gap year organisations, with a large support network of local staff and offices. Over 2,000 volunteers are sent overseas each year. They are also one of the founder members of the Year Out Group.
