The placements

Ticket to Ride offers three main surf and travel options - all are suitable for people who have no surfing experience.

You can spend 3 months learning to surf in South Africa, getting internationally-recognised instructor qualifications. At the same time, you can get involved in local youth development projects, teaching township children.

Or you can take a unique African road trip where you can learn to surf and do community development work in a month.

And for a career break with a difference, take a 3-week adventure 'surfari' trip from South Africa to Mozambique, combining travelling with unparalleled surfing instruction.

1 – 2 weeks in Portugal (all year round)

Portugal from £345 all-inclusive.
South Africa from £1,500 inc transfers and travel, accommodation, surf lessons, instructor courses (excludes flights and food).
