Trekforce Worldwide offers you the opportunity to get away from it all and head into a remote rainforest location to do something worthwhile for local communities.

The placements

Projects are based around rainforest conservation or community development. You will call a hammock your home for the duration of the expedition as you sleep in the rainforest near your project. You can then choose to go onto complete a one-month Spanish language course (Belize projects only) as well as a 2-month teaching placement after the project. There is also the opportunity to do stand-alone teaching placements for 2-5 months in rural schools.

£1,600 - £4,050. Prices includes:

2-day briefing event in the UK before you leave on your expedition
24-hour medical and leader support while on expedition

Payments can be made in installments or in one payment. Price does not include flight, insurance or personal kit.

Trekforce are carbon neutral in partnership with World Land Trust and continue to travel ethically and responsibly by sourcing as much produce as possible within the country they are completing the projects in, using local materials or fallen trees, and employing local guides and tradesmen to help on the projects. They make sure that all of the projects are worthwhile and sustainable, and over 60% of the money you pay for the expedition ends up going overseas to the project country to assist with the project and planning.
