Tucan Travel is an adventure travel company which offers you the chance to travel the world in the style that suits you.

The expeditions

Tucan Travel has five different travel styles to suit any traveller. There are over 300 group tours available, as well as the independent travel options.

Discovery tours - travel in a powerful, modern, comfortable, custom-made vehicle, staying in comfortable accommodation, with like-minded travellers from around the world.
Adventure tours - this is for you if you really want to get the know the country you're travelling in! You'll take a variety of different forms of transport, sitting side-by-side with the locals and you'll stay in small, locally-run hotels and guest houses.
Overland expeditions - for the nature-loving outdoors-orientated traveller, with plenty of time. You'll travel in a powerful, modern, custom-built expedition vehicle that can easily cope with the rugged terrain, and get to see the 'unseen' country. Accommodation varies and includes small hotels, camping, local homestays and hammocks!
Budget expeditions - as the name suggests, these are great value tours for budget conscious travellers. Designed for people aged 18 to 35, transport and accommodation varies according to where you travel, but does include camping, hostels and pleasant hotels.
Independent travel - for when you want the freedom to design your own itinerary. The flexibility of this travel style means the accommodation and transport varies widely - transport options cover everything from flights to canoes! Choose from a range of levels of hotels, airport transfers, full-day guided tours, longer stopover packages, treks, excursions and language schools. There's also an Antarctica cruise for travellers fascinated by the vast ice continent.

How long?

Tours range from 1 week to 6 months. Independent travel options vary.

How much?

Prices depend on where you go, when you go and how long you go for. Prices start at less than £100 for a stopover, to around £4,000 for a trip of 5-6 months. Prices don't include insurance or flights to your destination, but they generally cover all accommodation and transport. Meals are included to a varying degree on many tours, depending on the travel style - see the individual tour dossiers for more information.
