Visitoz provides well-paid work in rural Australia. There is a 365-day programme with a 9-day introductory package.
About the programme
In the first 9 days you are met at Brisbane airport, escorted to the hostel and then enjoy three days at a beach resort to get over jet lag.
On your 4th day you travel to Visitoz's Springbrook Farm for briefing, paperwork and the start of the training period. This takes place at one of the local farms or vineyard, or a nearby hotel. Topics covered are:
- horse riding
- cattle work
- motorbike riding and tractor driving
- mustering and cattle work in the yards
- fencing and chain saw work
- simple vehicle maintenance and outback safety.
The hospitality participants cover all aspects of the hotel work, from the kitchen and bar to housekeeping and the ‘drive in’. During the five days of training employers ring in to offer work and you choose the job you want. Bus and air tickets are booked for you by the cheapest means and on the Saturday morning you leave for the job of your choice. You can work for up to six months before taking a holiday and just before you run out of money ring in for another job – and another – and another as required. Most of these jobs qualify for the second Working Holiday Visa, which can be taken right away or at any time before your 31st birthday.
