HELLO

Welcome to our July newsletter, also known as the "end of summer edition".

Thanks to the rain driving us back inside, we've managed to put together a packed newsletter for you this month. As well as our regular features, we see the return of the events section, plus there are exciting new opportunities for the right career breakers.

So take a break from whatever you were doing (unless it's extinguishing a fire or something), grab a brew, and spend the next 10 minutes indulging yourself in career break niceness.

VIDEO CORNER

A great video on rookie travel mistakes NOT to make, by the fab Hey Nadine. Super useful stuff!

TIP OF THE MONTH

To get the cheapest plane ticket, fly midweek, go just after a holiday (like Christmas or Easter) and fly early in the day or late at night. The best time to book your flight is 2 months in advance. BTW, these tips only work for normal plane tickets, not RTW ones where cheap deals are much harder to come by.

If you have a tip for us, email us or tweet us.

QUESTION OF THE MONTH

A number of people have asked us how Brexit will affect their career break plans. The short answer is, we don't know yet. Obviously it will have a direct impact on those planning to live or work in a European country because you'll no longer have the right to do that. What impact Brexit will have on things like exchange rates, flight costs and other travel costs remains to be seen. One thing we do know though, is it will take ages for anything to happen, but even so, if you're planning a career break in Europe, go sooner rather than later!

If you've got a question, get in touch! We never reveal your name (unless you want us to!)

JOKE

A tramp knocks on the door of a pub called St. George and the Dragon. The landlady answers. “Could you give me something to eat?” asks the tramp.

“No!” shouts the woman, slamming the door in his face. A few minutes later, he knocks again.

“Now what do you want?” the woman asks.

“Could I have a few words with George?”

FINALLY

We've got lots of opportunities here at The Career Break Site for smart, enthusiastic people who want to make the most of their career break and get involved in some exciting new projects. Send us an email and we can tell you more about what's on offer.

Until next time,

Love,
