NEWS
In case you have blocked out everything Alistair Darling says or does (and we quite understand if you have), the country is officially not in a recession any more. travelsupermarket.com did some research showing that nearly a fifth of Brits are more likely to go travelling this year than 6 months ago. Make sure you're one of them!
The first economy class bed has been unveiled, with the hope that long-haul passengers can now get a decent night's kip without having to pay through the nose for it. We think this kind of takes away from the whole travel experience, which is all about sleeping in odd positions and letting your head loll onto your neighbour's shoulder.
Adventure travel is on the rise, according to Wanderlust magazine - apparently a quarter of us are planning an adventurous trip this year. If you want to do something a bit different, have a look at the options here: www.thecareerbreaksite.com/what-to-do
Finally, if you haven't donated money to help the Haitians yet, you can do so here (without buying a charity record too): www.dec.org.uk/donate_now
