If you could have any sort of job (money no object), what would it be?
I wouldn't work if I didn't need to Something where I got to meet lots of people and talk all the time. I'd love to work in a creative industry, schmoozing about looking cool and doing fun, arty things My job wouldn't mean anything unless it benefitted other people I'd love to be paid to do stuff like chuck myself off a bridge, climb a mountain or walk to a pole I'd go back to college or university. Mmmm...subsidised beer!
When you were younger, what sort of occupation did you imagine you'd have?
Maybe a teacher or academic - I loved school. I always wanted a job where I'd talk to the public every day. I wanted to live in a cave. Police officer, firefighter or paramedic. I wanted to be an explorer. Artist, writer, dancer or musician.
What do you want to bring back from your career break?
A stronger and fitter body. Something beautiful, be it a song, photograph or work of art. The satisfaction that I made a positive difference to someone else's life. An address book stuffed full of new friends' phone numbers. Knowledge. Dunno.
