Bored British professionals now have no excuse not to escape the rat-race, as the UK's first independent career break website launches today.
The Career Break Site has been designed to let visitors search for career break opportunities all around the world. It includes information on a huge range of projects – from voluntary and paid work, to studying and training. Every career break option is covered – whether you want to travel the world saving endangered species, or stay at home and write your best-seller.
An all you need to know guide to getting away from it all, the sites give helpful advice on serious issues like money and budgeting, to light hearted tips on how many pairs of pants you should take with you! For those who are looking to take a career break, but haven't a clue what they want to do, there are case studies of other career breakers and a list of career break ideas for inspiration.
The Career Break Site was the brainchild of Rachel Morgan-Trimmer, herself a recent career breaker: “When I took my career break last year, I found very little information on the web. There are so many people taking career breaks now, I was amazed that there wasn't already a site like this. I know from first-hand experience that a career break can be complicated, exciting and scary all at the same time, so I made sure the site would answer people's questions, calm their fears, and provide really useful information. Almost all of the career breakers I talk to say they don't know why they didn't do it sooner!”
The Career Break Site can be found at www.thecareerbreaksite.com.
The Career Break Site is owned and managed by SugarCat Publishing. www.sugarcat.co.uk
