ON THE BLOG

If you're preparing for a long trip, you'll be packing up your stuff for storage. But what about the things you no longer need? Here's a useful and comprehensive guide on how and where to get rid of your stuff - with minimal waste!

We have a guest post this month too, on CV buzzwords that employers hate - a great guide to what to leave off your CV!

There's absolutely stacks of useful stuff on our blog, on travel, careers, money, working abroad, volunteering and lots else. If there's something you want to see, or if you'd like to be interviewed, tell us!

PHOTO CORNER - YOUR MONTHLY DOSE OF INSPIRATION

The shortlisted entries for the Bird Photographer of the Year competition (thanks to JL for giving us the heads-up on this one).

VIDEO CORNER

An insight into volunteering abroad from a volunteer teacher in Ghana (who went with one of our partner organisations Projects Abroad).

ELSEWHERE ON THE INTERWEB

Paul Dobinson wrote this excellent article on taking a career break. We're not explicitly mentioned in it but he does quote stats from our research.

TIP OF THE MONTH

AnitaHendrieka who is a budget travel expert, tweeted us "Eat where the locals eat. It's usually a lot cheaper and much tastier!"

QUESTION OF THE MONTH

This month's question is "Do you need experience for the volunteer programmes?"

Most of the volunteer placements on our site don't require experience, but if they do, it will clearly say so in the listing. By the way, the projects require a huge range of skills so if you want to use your experience to help others, there's bound to be a volunteering role that's right for you!

If you've got a question, get in touch! We never reveal your name (unless you want us to!)

JOKE

Be the Google search results you want your future employer to find.

FINALLY

"Doing something and getting it wrong is better than doing nothing at all."

Until next time,

Love,
