There are loads of different ways you can travel on your career break.
- Round-the-world (RTW) flights are a great way to see the world on a budget. Prices start at £745 but are usually around £1,500 - much cheaper than individual tickets. You can usually change your dates too, so you can stay flexible.
- Other flight options include continent passes, if you're keen on seeing one particular region, and open-jaw tickets (where you fly into one place and out of another).
- Overland travel or adventure travel generally involves being in a small group tour. It's safer and more sociable than going it alone. Many trips include activities, like adventure sports, cultural visits, hikes etc, and will often involve staying in some unusual and out-of-the-way places.
- Expeditions (whether you're a team member or the leader) can be an exciting way to venture off the beaten track - but you'll need to be pretty fit (and brave!).
Of course, you can combine these however you like, and include some volunteering, a course or paid work as well if you like. Whatever and however you do it, your travels will change you as a person and give you an unforgettable experience.
