As an English teacher in China, you will be in charge of planning and delivering fun and engaging English lessons. Your students could be kindergarteners all the way up to university students!
You don't need to speak Mandarin as you'll have a support assistant in the classroom with you, but obviously you'll pick some Mandarin up while you are there.
Placements are from 10 to 12 months, and you will be teaching 12-25 hours a week, term time only. You'll have enough time at the weekends to explore locally, and in the school holidays to visit other parts of China or even venture further afield (current teachers take trips to Thailand, Vietnam, India and Australia).
A TEFL course and training camp are included in the standard programme. If you already have a TEFL qualification you can take the cheaper option and start in February rather than August. You will need to have a degree (or be in your final year of a degree course), but no previous experience is necessary.
This is an umissable opportunity for a career breaker who wants to spend a decent period of time living and working in China.
